Dear All,

New version of the Integration4Water service has been launched!!!

The first calls in the new, 7th Framework Programme on Research, Technology development and Demonstration will be launched on 22 December 2006. New research opportunities will be available for the research teams and organizations from the New Member States (NMS) and Associated Candidate Countries (ACC) as well as for the former EU15.

The overall goal for the Integration 4Water project - an FP6 Specific Support Action, is to support involvement of NMS/ACC researchers in European project consortia addressing the water and soil related issues. This can be done by promoting your research potential and your organization as an FP7 project partner. For that purpose we have just launched a new edition of the Integration4Water multiple function service.

For researchers from New Member States (NMS) and Associated Candidate Countries (ACC) interested in becoming members of FP7 project consortia:

The new edition of the I4W database of NMS/ACC research teams active in Water and Soil related research designed specifically for FP7 project partner search has been launched.

This free of charge database is open for the research teams from the following target countries: the present New Member States: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus, Malta and Romania and Bulgaria joining EU on 1 Jan 2007 and Turkey as the Associate Candidate Country.

The information on your research team included in the database is structured for the needs of an optimal presenting your research potential and expertise as FP7 project partner. The scope of requested information comprises:

  • your preferences of the FP7 topics related to water and soil research
  • how can your research team contribute to the selected topic/topics ( i.e. what kind of expertise would you offer as project partner)
  • relevant up-to-date research/projects carried out in the former Framework programmes but also on national/regional/local level
  • information on relevant specific scientific infrastructure available in your organisation (laboratories, tests fields, special equipment, prototypes, etc)
  • information on the human potential i.e. who is the research leader within your organisation and what are his/her references proven by relevant publications

IMPORTANT!!! It takes no longer than 30 minutes to fill in the necessary data in the database to promote you as a project partner for seven years i.e. throughout the entire FP7 i.e. until the year 2013!!! We recommend however that you prepare all relevant info (e.g. on the projects, publications, infrastructure, ect.) in advance. You may always return and modify your data stored in the database later on. For details on the scope of data needed for the database we encourage that you consult the manual available on the Integration4Water web page before staring to fill up the database fields.

If you are already registered User log in to the system and update your data by clicking Edit your records in the menu on the left.
If you want to register as a new User click here.

Information on the NMS/ACC research potential gathered in the database will be distributed across Europe, especially to the organizations gathered in the European Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform, via the network of the National Contact Points on European Research Programmes , European newsletters etc. A CD promoting the database will be distributed on international events related to FP7 and/or Water and Soil research.

For all researchers dealing with Water and Soil research,
Use our:

  • Instant Messenger to promote your scientific accomplishments, reports, events, etc. among the scientific community in Europe and to be notified on these issues. You may choose how you want to benefit from the service - only as a website visitor or in full version - as information recipient and provider. Beside getting the messages, full registration gives you an opportunity to submit information for publication on the web page and distribution by e-mails among the registered members.
  • I4W Forum to exchange views on research issues or establish and maintain contacts to create FP7 project consortia
  • Topical Expert Groups - to find out research leaders from NMS/ACC - experts in specific topics presented on the Integration 4Water web page
  • Search for your project partner in our I4W database using an FP7 focused search engine.

All these functions are available on our web page http://www.integration4water.org, some require registration and logging.

Hoping to help you in a successful start in FP7 we look forward to your co-operation.
