Integration4Water NMS/ACC Database

The proposed database will serve as a centralized source where the NMS/ACC excellence of research teams in water research will be collected and incorporated into one structured data system enabling presentation and promotion of this potential for the needs of EU FP6 as well as subsequent Framework Programmes and other EU initiatives (Structural Funds-SF). Details on the database records scope, database structure, set-up, data acquisition and access are provided in WP2 description. The database will be accompanied by a variety of proposed services including a dedicated partner search engine provided in the internet service described above. The database will be accessible via the proposed information service. The overall function of the proposed database of the NMS/ACC water RTD potential will be to:

• serve as a central hub providing a comprehensive and structured information about NMS/ACC project partners including SMEs for water research focused projects
• help O MS partners find NMS/ACC partners to FP project consortia, especially for STRTEP/IP/NoE projects of FP6, FP7, other
• promote the scope and character of the capacities and contributions of the research teams from NMS/ACC to building IP and NoE ( but also STREP, CA, SSA) proposals of FP6 – 4 th call, future FPs and projects realized within the framework of Structural Funds addressing the water-related issues

For project realization purposes the NMS/ACC data gathered in the database will also serve for the identification of the participants of the proposed workshops event. The mechanisms used for promotion and dissemination of the proposed NMS/ACC database will be the same as for the project internet service and project dissemination.
